BREADA is a member of the national FoodRoutes Network and a collaborative partner in the creation of the local foods campaign, Buy Fresh Buy Local. Today BREADA serves as the regional BFBL chapter affiliate for Louisiana and works with communities across the state to involve consumers in the revitalization of our local food system.

Buy Fresh Buy Local encourages consumers to care about where their food comes from and how it is produced. Buying locally grown means your food will be thousands of miles fresher and taste better than food shipped long distances. Buy Fresh Buy Local strengthens the local economy and keeps food dollars circulating in the state of Louisiana.

The marketing resources and grassroots efforts of chapters across the country are together working to connect consumers to the freshest, most delicious locally grown and produced foods available. Family farms are an American tradition in danger of fading away. Support of local farms and the investment in local farmers will grow the community in which they work and live.
